Our School Road project is now complete and sold in it’s entirety.

The project was completed ahead of schedule and within budget.

The build comprised of 6 new 4 bed builds, 6 new 2 bed builds and 5 renovated 2 bed town houses.

Car parking spaces and a full landscape scheme was undertaken to provide a complete project which has received nothing but compliments from the local community and council officials.

The scheme wasn’t without it’s challenges from planning, to demolition, to the build itself, but nothing was going to stop us achieving another stunning project.

The whole scheme has been sympathetic to the original building, bringing a new lease of life to the former school, implementing modern building methods and utilising energy saving components where possible, such as solar panels.

Even the original school bell tower has been retained and given a new lease of life.

Overall, an enjoyable and successful project, on to the next one !

Ecoline were tasked with the project to construct a new Air Training Corp Cadet Unit to the rear of the existing Army Reserve Centre in Cobridge, Stoke On Trent.
The project was initially for a standard size cadet unit the same as Ecoline had previously built at other sites in Telford, Warwick & Hereford. However, during the construction, the client extended the build to include a rifle range, additional classrooms & storage areas to make this in to what has been known as a ‘Super Centre’.

This fantastic facility incorporates full wifi & IT facilities as well as state of the art touch screen TV’s to enable the young cadets to train and learn in a high-tech environment.

The Air Rifle Range has 4 lanes & the latest facilities to allow the cadets to learn & sharpen up their target skills in preparation for the armed forces recruitment if they wish to pursue this route.

The new facility is a great addition for all cadets within the Stoke On Trent area to access.

Whilst work continued on in the main building at Bishop Percy’s House, the demolition of the former Bridgnorth Boys Club commenced to make way for two modern new build properties.

During this project careful consideration had to be taken in regards to access, the local community and the surrounding area.

The works at the rear of Bishop Percy’s House, compromised of the following;

  • Demolition of Bridgnorth Boys Club.
  • Scaffold access with lifting equipment for plant/materials.
  • Installation of new services.
  • Construction of two modern new build properties overlooking the River Severn.
  • Zinc cladding to the face of the properties.
  • Glass balustrade to balconies.
  • Supply & Installation of aluminium windows/doors.
  • Supply & Installation of aluminium bi-folding doors.
  • Oak flooring internally.
  • Landscaping works.
  • Supply & Installation of kitchen/bathrooms.
  • Tiling and decorating.

The Development included:

  • 6 dwellings replicating barn conversions as well as a number of larger houses, with the best being 5 bedroom houses with 4 bathrooms and also having ½ an acre of garden each.

The majority of the properties were purchased off plan and therefore design changes were incorporated to meet the buyers requests.

New residential houses development: One bungalow built to customer’s requirements and 2 more added but built to Ecoline specifications.

Project Details:

  • Built at the end of a cul-de-sac in middle of village so consideration had to be given to all local residents and their whole community.
  • Ecoline had to overcome delivery problems because of the site position and the fact that the privacy of local residents had to be considered.
  • The site now is now completed. It blends in really well with the street scene.
  • The bungalows were built to a very high standard including all floor finishes.
  • Exterior fully landscaped.

Project 1 – Pump Room

  • Existing outhouse building was demolished & the cellar infilled with a raft foundation.
  • A new small dwelling was built in keeping with the existing house to seat a new water pump & water purification system to feed the existing house on site.
  • The existing bore hole fresh water feed was re-directed from the existing derelict building.

Project 2 – New Build Double Garage with Plant Room and Ground Source Heating System

  • A new double garage with attic trusses was built.
  • PV Solar panels on roof.
  • 600m trenching was dug to specification for an Eco friendly ground source heating system back to heat pump in the plant room.

Project 3 – Demolish of existing Build and build of a new 3 Bed Detached Eco House

  • Existing barn/dwelling was demolished.
  • A new detached dwelling was built in elaborate brickwork with stonework, chimneys and a porch area.
  • Built with fully timber window and door specification.
  • PV solar panels on roof.
  • Bat Mitigation to loft space.
  • Ground floor and First floor underfloor heating.
  • Fully tiled shower room and 2 bathrooms installed.
  • Bespoke kitchen installed.
  • Bespoke staircase installed.
